Wakkanai Sea Station

This Sea Station consists of two separate facilities. One of these is the Wakkanai Port Service Center which is used extensively by port visitors, fishing boat crews and persons involved in the port. The other is the Wakkanai Fukukou Ichiba, Japan's most northerly combined facility. It offers souvenirs, hot springs and meals, etc.

Rishirito-Oshidomari Sea Station

Rishiri-Rebun-Sarobetsu is Japan’s most northerly national park. At the foot of Mount Rishiri (one of Japan’s 100 famous peaks) Kanrosensui water (one of Japan’s 100 famous spring waters) bubbles up from the ground. Along the coastline blessed with upwelling sea currents kelp and sea urchins can be harvested, both delicacies being jewels of the sea. Please make it a point to visit Rishiri Island.

Muroran Sea Station

Although located in Hokkaido, fishing can be enjoyed throughout the year due to the limited snowfall. The best cruising spot in the area is offered by the beautiful scenery of Muroran itself. Furthermore, with a great range of expression, the nighttime scenery is also very popular with visitors.

Otaru Sea Station

This marina is conveniently located. Nearby there are shopping facilities that include daytrip hot-spring opportunities and supermarkets. There is also a movie theater. In that Sapporo’s city center is a mere 35-minute trip by express train, visitors can also enjoy that city after sightseeing in Otaru.

Esashi Sea Station

The Esashi Coastline is a great cruising spot due to the favorable winds that blow throughout the year. There is also both a replica of the Kaiyo Maru (an early Japanese warship that contributed to the nation’s modernization) and an associated museum of artifacts salvaged from the original vessel.
